Modular Kitchen Price in Pakistan 2026: Materials, Hardware and Layout
A modular kitchen quote is really four decisions stacked together: the box, the doors, the hardware and the counter. Get those right and the price makes sense.
Why kitchen quotes vary so much
Ask three workshops for a modular kitchen price in Pakistan and you can get three very different numbers for what looks like the same drawing. The gap almost always comes from materials and hardware that are not visible in a 3D view. Once you know what to ask, the quotes become comparable.
The carcass: what the boxes are made of
| Board | Strength | Moisture tolerance | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Particle board | Basic | Low | Dry wall units |
| MDF | Good | Medium | Shutters and dry areas |
| Moisture-resistant MDF / HDHMR | Good | Higher | Base units |
| Marine plywood | Very good | High | Sink and wet zones |
Lahore kitchens see steam, spills and humid monsoon months. Spend on the boxes under the sink and hob first.

Shutters, finishes and counters
Shutters are what you see and touch, so finish choice moves the price noticeably. Laminate is tough and practical, acrylic gives a high gloss, lacquer and PU paint look seamless but need care, and veneer brings real timber warmth.
Counters follow the same logic: local granite is durable, quartz is consistent and low maintenance, and solid surface allows seamless sinks. See finished examples on our kitchen design page.
Hardware: the part you feel every day
- Hinges with soft-close stop slamming and keep doors aligned.
- Drawer runners rated for weight matter for pots and pans.
- Corner solutions such as carousels turn dead corners into storage.
- Tall pantry pull-outs are among the most useful upgrades.
- Lift-up wall unit mechanisms make high cabinets usable.
- Handles or profiles change the look and the price.
Branded hardware costs more but is the difference between a kitchen that works for years and one that needs adjusting every few months.

Hardware worth paying for
- Soft-close hinges on every door.
- Full-extension drawer runners.
- Corner pull-outs or carousels.
- Lift-up systems for wall cabinets.
- A tall pantry pull-out.
Hardware is used thousands of times a year. It is the last place to cut cost.
Measuring and installation
Accurate measurements are taken after plaster and flooring are complete. Walls in Lahore homes are rarely perfectly straight, so installers use fillers and adjustable legs to get a clean fit.
Check that the counter template is taken after cabinets are fixed, and that the sink and hob cut-outs match the actual appliances.
Layout and size
Straight, L, U, parallel and island layouts use different running lengths of cabinets and counter, which is why kitchens are often priced per running foot. Our article on kitchen layouts for Lahore homes compares them in detail.
- Measure the room and fix the appliance list.
- Pick the layout.
- Choose carcass, shutter and counter per zone.
- Specify hardware by brand and model.
- Ask for a quote that lists all of the above.
A rough range is available on our estimator; a measured visit gives the real number.
The short version.
- Four choices set the price: carcass, shutters, hardware and counter.
- Protect wet zones: moisture-resistant boards under sink and hob.
- Name the hardware: brand and model belong in the quotation.
Questions
Asked often, answered plainly.
Usually per running foot of base and wall cabinets, plus counters, hardware and appliances as separate lines. Ask which items are included in the per-foot rate.
Moisture-resistant boards or marine plywood for base units near water, with a durable shutter finish such as laminate or acrylic. Dry wall units can use MDF.
Normally not. Hob, hood, oven and dishwasher are priced separately, but their sizes must be fixed before the cabinets are made.
Quartz is more uniform and needs less sealing; granite is natural and very hard. Both work well in Pakistani kitchens when installed properly.
You pay for the box, the door, the hinge and the stone. Know all four.
